Eguisheim, France: Photo Diary of the Prettiest Medieval French Village
There’s a reason that Disney chose Eguisheim as their inspiration for the village in Beauty and the Beast – it’s the prettiest medieval town in all of France. The more I travel, the more I realize that I have an obsession with photographing doortraits. That made Eguisheim, with it’s circular streets of colorful medieval row houses and endless flowers, my photography dream destination. Check out my favorite snaps so you can see why you’ll want to visit this charming French village for yourself.
You’ll get to wander around cobblestone streets…
…filled with colorful flowerpots…
…and fairytale houses just like this one!
Take a break for lunch in the village square (and don’t forget the French wine. You are in Alsace, after all.)
Then get back to exploring the old world charm…
…and discover why Eguisheim has won awards for its flowers and beauty.
Plus, it’s basically begging to be on your Instagram feed.
If you’re like me, the only thing left on your mind will be wondering when you can return!
